The Silkmen retained their four point lead at the Northern Premier League West Division summit yesterday – courtesy of a 2 – 1 victory against Prescot Cables.
The hosts were reduced to ten men in the first-half when Adam Hammill received his second yellow card, yet they took the lead in the 52nd minute through James Edgar.
Parity was restored almost instantly when Jame Berry fired home the equaliser and David McNabb’s side claimed all three points when Dan Cowan fired home seven minutes from time.
