September would be a difficult month for the Silkmen in terms of results in the league, but there was continued progression in the Emirates FA Cup.
There were tough defeats against Merthyr Town and Chorley, but a last-gasp equaliser away at Kidderminster Harriers, courtesy of Danny Elliott, brought jubilation in the away end that afternoon at Aggborough.
Both the trips to Kidderminster and Chorley saw Silkmen away followings of over 300 in, let’s just say, very contrasting conditions! However, the Silkmen faithful never stopped singing and chanted with pride.
