LEON ARNASALAM RETURNS

22 Dec 2022 | Latest News

Macclesfield FC are delighted to confirm that Leon Arnasalam has returned to the Club, after agreeing a dual-registration with AFC Liverpool.

The 24-year-old became our first-ever league goalscorer in July 2021, when his strike against Burscough ensured that Leon’s name would forever be etched into the history books.

Suffering a severe knee injury at Winsford United three days later, Leon fought hard to regain his fitness and would enjoy a loan spell at Mossley towards the end of the campaign.

After training with a number of National League Clubs, Leon signed for Garwood, before joining North West Counties Football League Premier Division side AFC Liverpool.

Previously, Leon was in the U14’s team at Preston North End, before enjoying spells at Marine, AFC Liverpool Bury AFC and Lower Breck.

Leon has also represented Bolton Wanderers U23s, Warrington Town, Skelmersdale United and Burscough – as well as featuring in Robbie Fowler’s Liverpool-based Academy.

We would like to welcome Leon back to the Club and will be catching up with him soon to discuss the move.
