Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce that Will Jones has joined the Club as a full-time Media and Marketing Assistant.

Will is well known to the Silkmen faithful, after enjoying a matchday volunteer role at the Club that began during our inaugural 2021/22 campaign.

Previously, Will played a vital role at Soccer Aid Productions and boasts a wealth of media experience.

Working alongside Bob Trafford and Ben Leah, Will is a great addition to our team behind the scenes and we are thrilled that he has decided to join us.

Speaking about the appointment, Will stated –

“This really was the ideal move for me.

“I had been working for Soccer Aid for more than three years and have unbelievable memories of playing my part there.

“But ever since I walked through the door at Macclesfield FC three years ago, I have always hoped that one day I would get my chance here.

“Through volunteering, I met so many great people – whether it be players, staff or all the wonderful fans.

“So when the opportunity came up to return in a full-time capacity, I jumped at it.

“I would like to thank everyone who made this happen for me and look forward to the challenges ahead.”

Head of Commercial and Sponsorships Bob Trafford added to this with the following –

“Will is a great addition to our team and I can’t wait to work with him in a full-time capacity.

“We have already announced a range of new fan engagement initiatives, and we have many more in the pipeline, so Will’s expertise will be invaluable in helping us connect with the fans even more.

“These really are exciting times for the Club and this is another really exciting move ahead of the new season.”
