The Silkmen make the journey to Haig Avenue as we take on Southport in our next Enterprise National League North fixture.

We are looking forward to seeing all the visiting Silkmen fans and thank each and every one of them for their phenomenal support.

For those travelling to Merseyside this evening, here is some key information ahead of the game.

2024/25 Finish – 18th National League North.

Public Transport – Meol Cop 0.8 miles (15 min walk). Due to engineering works, there will be no trains running between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent; therefore, no trains at all will stop at Macclesfield station. Rail replacement buses will run between Stockport and Stafford as well as from Macclesfield to Wilmslow. There are a number of local bus routes that run between Southport and major hubs across the North West. Direct buses to Preston, Wigan, and Liverpool all leave just a five-minute walk from Haig Avenue.

By Car – Take the M6, and exit at Junction (26) sign posted for the M58. Follow the M58 until junction (3), and take the A570. Stay on the A570 through Ormskirk (one-way), and this will take you, after about 5 miles into the Kew district of Southport. At the roundabout with McDonalds on the left take the third exit, Scarisbrick New Road (A570) you will see the ground on the right, it is situated just past the College (KGV). Turn right at first set of lights into Haig Avenue. From the East: Take the M62 then the M60. Then join the M61 North-bound, exit at Junction (8) signed Chorley. Then follow directions from the North.

Arrangements – Segregation will be in place for the fixture at Haig Avenue. Silkmen supporters will be allocated two sections of the ground, the Blowick Terrace (Turnstiles 1-4), which is an uncovered terrace behind the goal, and the Blowick End in the Main Stand (Turnstiles 5-6), which is an all-seated area.

Car Parking – The club’s small car park is for players and officials only. Therefore, supporters have to park in the surrounding streets. There are usually many spaces within a couple of minutes’ walk but watch out for parking restrictions around the streets.

Seated – Adult: £16.50, Concession: £12, Junior (12-17): £7, U12: £2, U2: Free

Standing – Adult: £14, Concession: £11, Junior (12-17): £6, U12: £1

Supporters are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance.

Food and Drink – Hot and cold refreshments will be available for purchase for away supporters.

Programme – A matchday programme, ‘Sandgrounder’, is available for £3 in the ground and can also be ordered from Southport’s website.
