RIP MERRICK CORFIELD

Macclesfield FC are deeply saddened to hear that former forward and fan’s favourite Merrick Corfield has sadly passed away.
An intelligent and innovative player, Merrick enjoyed a glittering career at the Moss Rose over two spells between 1967 and 1973.
A member of our inaugural FA Trophy-winning team back in 1970, Merrick was also voted Player of the Year at the end of that season.
A double Northern Premier League winner, Merrick’s legacy will be etched into the fabric of our Club forevermore.
May he rest in peace.
