Macclesfield FC are delighted to confirm the permanent signing of midfielder Josh Kay following his departure from Oldham Athletic.
The 29 year old pens a permanent deal at the Leasing.com Stadium after his release from the Latics at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
Kay made 33 appearances in all competitions in his season-long loan from Boundary Park, scoring on five occasions.
He came up with some important goals at times, including some vital equalisers against Merthyr Town and Chester at the back end of the campaign.
Kay has highlighted his versatility on many occasions, with him being able to operate off either flank but also down the middle as an attacking midfielder or playing in the false nine position.
Having started out his career at AFC Fylde, Kay has gone on to feature for a number of EFL sides across the North-West, a highlight of which was his five-year spell with Barrow.
