Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young full-back Hassan Ayub following a successful trial period.
The 18-year-old adds great depth to John Rooney’s defensive options after impressing during the Silkmen’s recent Pre-Season fixtures.
Hassan came through the ranks at Bradford City as a two-year scholar and has seen his development grow at Valley Parade in the Bantams’ U18s setup.
The full-back has played a major role in the Bantams’ FA Youth Cup campaigns over the last two seasons, with them going out to Crystal Palace last time around.
Ayub is a pacey, direct full-back who likes to get forward and take on his man and has highlighted that during his trial with the Silkmen.
Hassan will continue his development in our Emerging Talent Programme, and we are excited to see his potential grow during the season.
