The Silkmen travel to Merseyside tomorrow for our first game of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North season against Marine AFC.

For those heading to the Marine Travel Arena, here is all the key information you need to know.

About the Club – Founded – 1894, Nickname – The Mariners, Manager – Bobby Grant, Ground – Marine Travel Arena, Capacity – 3,058 2025/26 POS – 12th (NLN)

Public Transport –

Bus – The Marine Travel Arena is close to a number of bus stops. The 63 (Bootle – Fazakerley) stops on College Road, the 53 (Liverpool to Crosby) stops on Coronation Road, the 47 (from Liverpool to Crossens) and X2 (Liverpool to Preston) have stops near to the ground on Liverpool Road (about 10-15 minute walk from Merchant Taylors school to the Marine Travel Arena).

Train – The nearest railway station to The Marine Travel Arena is Blundellsands & Crosby on the Northern Line (Hunts Cross to Southport) of Merseyrail. Trains run at 15 minute intervals from Liverpool City Centre and Southport. The station is a 10 minute walk from the ground.

Supporters arriving at Liverpool Lime Street need to transfer to the Northern Line at Liverpool Moorfields or Central Stations.

Approximate train journey time from Liverpool City Centre stations to Blundellsands & Crosby is 20 minutes.

By Car –

Head North out of Macclesfield through Adlington, joining the A555 and heading East as far as Manchester Airport, where supporters should then join the M56, heading further East as far as junction 9, following the slip road round on to the M6 Northbound, continuing for two junctions before heading East on the M62. Leave the M62 at junction 6 and take the M57 to Switch Island. At the end of the M57 take the A5758 (signposted Southport & Formby), remain on this road through Switch Island and go straight across the traffic lights at the junction with the B5422, remaining on A5758. At roundabout, turn left on A565 (signposted Liverpool, Bootle & Crosby). Remain on this road through Thornton, straight on at 3 sets of traffic lights and at the roundabout remain on the A565, signposted Bootle & Liverpool. At the traffic lights in Crosby village, turn left onto the A565 (signposted Bootle & Liverpool). After ½ mile you will pass Merchant Taylors school on your right hand-side, turn right at the traffic lights onto College Road. The ground is half a mile on your left.

Parking – There is no supporter parking available at the stadium, but there is plenty of street parking within a short walk. Please note College Road is limited to a 2 hour stay and is regularly patrolled by wardens. Please park responsibly, respecting local businesses and residents driveways.

Arrangements – Segregation will be in place for this game at the Marine Travel Arena. Our supporters are to enter the stadium via turnstile four. Seating and standing tickets will also be available for our supporters; seats will be on a limited basis.

Tickets are available for Silkmen supporters, both standing and seated; there are no on-the-day sales for away supporters as this is an all-ticket fixture. There is no differentiation between the price of a standing ticket and that of a seated one; however, supporters will get the opportunity to choose when going to purchase.

Food and Drink – Hot and cold refreshments will be available for visiting supporters inside the ground.

Programme – Match day programmes are available for purchase at the ground and in the Club shop at the price of £2.50. The Club shop is situated behind the main stand.
