SILKMEN CONFIRM THE CONTINUATION OF “SPECIAL” ARIGHI BIANCHI PARTNERSHIP

Macclesfield FC are excited to announce the continuation of our very special partnership with Arighi Bianchi, which will span the length of the 2026/27 campaign.

This will see the iconic furniture store claim a number of assets, including prominent branding underneath our scoreboard and visibility within our matchday programme.

In addition to this, we will be celebrating our partnership with numerous giveaways throughout the season – the first of which is only days away!

Arighi Bianchi is a prestigious, family-owned furniture and home furnishings retailer based in the heart of Macclesfield.

Founded in 1854 by Italian immigrants Antonio Arighi and Antonio Bianchi, the business began after the founders fled the Italian Civil War, traversing the Alps to settle in our humble town.

Over its 172-year history, the brand has evolved from a small furniture workshop into one of the UK’s longest-running family retail enterprises.

The company is synonymous with its iconic Grade II listed showroom located on the Silk Road.

Inspired by London’s 1851 Crystal Palace exhibition, the striking four-storey cast iron and glass building is a famous local treasure.

It was famously saved from demolition in 1973 following a public campaign supported by the Victorian Society and Sir John Betjeman.

Spanning over 70,000 square feet, the physical showroom curates premium furniture, flooring, and accessories from leading global brands, alongside custom interior design services and the popular Caffè AB.

Historically, the business even secured royal patronage, supplying items to Edward VII.

Today, Arighi Bianchi is led by fourth- and fifth-generation members of the Bianchi family.

While deeply rooted in our local community, the company has successfully expanded nationwide through a robust e-commerce platform and a modern growth strategy, transitioning from a traditional homeware retailer into a comprehensive luxury lifestyle brand.

In addition to all of this, Arighi Bianchi have been staunch, passionate and loyal supporters of our Football Club over many years.

As part of their support, Arighi Bianchi was famously the front-of-shirt sponsor for the FA Trophy final in 2017 and following on from this, throughout our incredible National League triumph under “Sir” John Askey twelve months later.

Indeed, one of the most evocative photos taken that season saw Nick Bianchi embrace Magic Man Danny Whitaker after a 2 – 0 away victory at Boreham Wood, effectively completing one of the greatest football fairytales ever told.

Memories of that magnitude matter.

Nick Bianchi celebrates our 2 – 0 win at Boreham Wood with “Magic Man” Danny Whitaker back in 2018.

In many ways therefore, to term our relationship with Arighi Bianchi as a “partnership” is doing it a grave injustice.

Because it genuinely means so much more.

Sarah Bianchi, fourth-generation, CEO, said:

“We’re incredibly proud to be renewing our partnership with Macclesfield FC. Arighi Bianchi has called Macclesfield home for over 170 years, so supporting the town and the community around us has always been hugely important to our family.

“Our connection with Macclesfield football goes back generations – our great-grandfather attended one of the town’s earliest games in 1874, and over the years many of our team have been passionate supporters of the Club.

“Today, so many Macclesfield supporters are also Arighi Bianchi customers, so it feels very natural for two organisations with such deep roots in the town to support one another.”

Nick Bianchi, fourth-generation Brand Director, added:

“On a personal level, I’ve been incredibly proud to serve as a Club Ambassador since 2021, so it means a great deal to see the relationship between Macclesfield FC and Arighi Bianchi continue to grow.

“There’s a real family spirit around the Club which aligns closely with who we are as a fifth-generation family business. We’re excited to deepen the partnership this season, get even more involved with the Club and its supporters, and continue backing something that means so much to Macclesfield.”

Silkmen Deputy CEO Bob Trafford stated:

“I really am delighted that we have agreed the continuation of this very special partnership with our friends at Arighi Bianchi.

“Our relationship is steeped in history, and we both respect that unequivocally.

“As organisations at the heart of the local community, we are both intensely proud of our town and all those lucky enough to call themselves Maxonians.

“Together, Macclesfield FC and Arighi Bianchi have already created some wonderful memories that will outlive us all.

“Now, we aim to create even more!

“I would like to thank Ella Beattie, Ruby Whelan and Sarah Bianchi for their wonderful support throughout this process, as it has been invaluable.

“However, I would like to reserve my special thanks to the Silkmen Legend himself, Nick Bianchi.

“Nick’s passion for this Football Club is beyond question, and I am humbled to have known him as a valued friend for as long as I have.
