The Silkmen are back in Emirates FA Cup action this weekend as we travel to Northern Premier League side Redcar Athletic in Second Round Qualifying action. Here is all the information you may need for the trip to Green Lane.

About the Club – Founded – 1993, Nickname – The Steelmen, Manager – Carl Jarrett, Ground – Green Lane, Capacity – 1,800, 2025/26 POS – 1st NPL Div One East

Public Transport – Redcar East, 0.9 miles. The train journey from Macclesfield Station takes approximately 3hr 20 minutes. Redcar Central station receives a higher amount of traffic; however is a longer walk, around 40 minutes to the stadium.

By Car – At Junction 49 of the A1(M), follow the A168 into the town of Thirsk before the road becomes the A19. Continue to follow the A19 until you reach the town of Thornaby before taking a right onto the A174 at the roundabout. The A174 continues all the way to the outskirts of Redcar before taking a left onto Redcar Lane. Follow the road before taking a right onto Borough Road. This road then becomes Hawthorn Road, which you need to take for a short distance before turning onto Oak Road. Follow this up to Green Lane and the ground is located along this road.

Arrangements – Segregation is not in place for this game, Silkmen fans will be able to sit or stand where they wish, as well as making the most of the grounds facilities.

Car Parking – Redcar Athletic FC’s car park is usually reserved for players and officials. The club advises that parking space at the ground is limited. Redcar Rugby Club provides car parking facilities at a small cost and Headland Coast Road Public Car Park is also available to use.

Adult – £13

Concessions – £8.50

Under 16’s – £5

Tickets are all available to purchase on the gate with cash and card payments both accepted.

Food and Drink – There are plenty of food and drink options for Silkmen supporters around the ground, with hot and cold refreshments available.

Programme – A printed matchday programme will be available to purchase at the turnstiles.

Coach Travel – 

We have one supporter coach making the journey to Redcar.
