Macclesfield FC is looking to strengthen its Academy coaching team with the appointment of three new Academy Coaches.
Each successful candidate will take responsibility for a designated Academy team, leading the coaching and development of players within their respective age group.
Coaches will deliver two training sessions each week at Leasing.com Stadium on Monday and Thursday evenings, and will also take responsibility for their team on matchdays.
The following coaching positions are being recruited for:
- 2x Foundation Phase Coaches
- 1x Youth Development Phase (YDP) Coach
Location: Leasing.com Stadium, Macclesfield
Contract: Part-time, employed
Hours: 6-8 hours per week
Salary: Competitive
Training: Monday & Thursday evenings
Minimum Qualification: UEFA C Licence
Key Responsibilities:
- Take overall coaching responsibility for a designated Macclesfield FC Academy team.
- Plan and deliver high-quality. age-appropriate training sessions every Monday and Thursday evening.
- Lead and manage the team on matchdays, including team selection, playing time and tactical organisation.
- Create a positive, challenging and professional environment focused on individual player development.
- Deliver sessions in line with the Club’s playing philosophy and Academy coaching framework
- Monitor individual player development and provide regular feedback.
- Complete player reviews and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) where required.
- Identify players with the potential to progress through the Club’s Player Pathway.
- Maintain accurate attendance and availability records through Spond.
- Communicate professionally with players, parents and Academy staff.
- Work closely with Head of Youth Football Operations and Head of Youth Coaching on squad development and player progression.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, player welfare and professional conduct.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum UEFA C Licence.
- Previous experience coaching within youth football.
- Strong understanding of individual player development.
- Good communication, organisation and leadership skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver structured, engaging and progressive training sessions.
- Reliable and available for Monday and Thursday evening training and weekend fixtures.
- Willingness to work collaboratively as part of the wider Macclesfield FC Academy structure,
- Appropriate DBS, safeguarding and first-aid requirements must be met.
The successful candidates will play an important role in helping Macclesfield FC identify, develop and progress talented young players towards the next stage of their football journey.
