In the next instalment of our look at the new sides entering the National League North for the 2026/27 season, we are heading to the West Midlands for our next side.
Hednesford Town have seen somewhat of a rollercoaster few years in the Non-League scene, and are currently on their way up once again.
It has been 10 years since The Pitmen were last in the National League North, when they were relegated in 2015/16. They saw a further relegation follow in 2022/23 as they fell out of the Northern Premier League Premier down to the Division One West.
It was an instant return to the seventh tier for Hednesford as they defeated Congleton Town in the Play-Off final by two goals to nil. It would then go on to have back-to-back play-off successes for The Pitmen.
The West Midlands outfit secured its spot back in the National League North for next season following a thrilling climax against Warrington Rylands at Keys Park. A 90th-minute equaliser saw them bounce back from the brink of defeat, taking the game to Extra-Time and penalties, in which they defeated Rylands on spot-kicks.
Former Southampton Goalkeeper, Kelvin Davis, will be hoping to steward his side to a potential place in the National League?
