The Silkmen were held to a 2-2 draw at Warrington Town on Tuesday evening in our latest 2026/27 pre-season fixture, the Macc goals came courtesy of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and a trialist.
The lads battled it out with the Northern Premier League side, who made it a really physical test for the Silkmen in humid conditions away from home. Macc edged ahead midway through the half courtesy of Borthwick-Jackson’s header, meeting Luis Lacey’s corner. The hosts equalised not long before the break, though the lead was quick reinstated by trialist wearing 18 seconds prior to the interval.
The Silkmen wouldn’t manage to retain the lead with Lewis Earl equalising for Warrington for a second time midway through the second half.
