The Silkmen welcomed a Wolves XI to the Leasing.com Stadium in our latest Pre-Season Friendly on what was a special occasion.
Both Macc and Wolves came together to celebrate the life of Ethan McLeod, who tragically died in a car accident back in December.
It was a Sam Heathcote brace that gave the Silkmen the edge as they ran out 2-1 winners over the Championship side’s U21s.
What was even more poignant was that Heathcote’s first goal was scored in the 20th minute, the shirt number of McLeod at the Silkmen.
