Macclesfield FC are delighted to have completed the signing of star striker Adan George, formerly of AFC Telford United!

The 23 year-old striker joins the Silkmen ahead of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North season, following an impressive previous campaign with the Bucks of AFC Telford United, catching the eye of the Management and Recruitment teams at Macclesfield, including a standout performance at the Seah Stadium, in which George put the Silkmen to the sword with a spot-kick late on.

George boasts a wealthy pedigree having started out life in football at Birmingham City, spending a total of six years with the Blues. Adan continued to base himself around the midlands with loans to Bromsgrove Sporting and Walsall, brought to an abrupt end by an unfortunate ACL injury, which despite a further twelve month deal, brought his stay with Birmingham to an end.

Upon his return to full fitness, Adan secured a permanent move to Alvechurch in 2023, enjoying a fantastic first season with the Church, grabbing five goals in his first fourteen games.

Having hit the ground running with Alvechurch, he was quickly snapped up by then National League North side Rushall Olympic, where again, he provided an immediate return with three goals in seven appearances, putting him firmly on the radar of National League side FC Halifax Town, where he would move midway through the 2023/24 season and found the net on three occasions in his first fifteen appearances for the Shaymen.

George remained at The Shay for the 2024/25 season in the top flight of non-league football, making a further 19 appearances before joining AFC Telford United at the beginning of the previous campaign, in which the Bucks were a direct play-off rival to the Silkmen, with George a focal point for the Shropshire-based side. He was kept a close eye on by a number of Clubs following his departure from Telford, with Macclesfield now winning the race to capture the signature of the exciting front man.

Adan also links back up with former Bucks team mate Ammar Dyer at Macc and can hopefully recreate what is a blossoming relationship between the two in blue this season.

The centre forward initially joined John Rooney’s side on the first day of pre-season on trial ahead of the Club’s second season in the Enterprise National League North and has since featured in the majority of the Club’s pre-season fixtures to date as a trialist, which after a patient start, resulted in a goal against Cheadle Town at the Leasing.com Stadium a fortnight ago.

With terms all now agreed, everyone at Macclesfield FC would now like to officially give Adan a very warm welcome to the Club and wish him lots of luck during his stay with the Silkmen.

Subject to FA Approval.
