Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the addition of former Stoke City U18 winger Ali Hayder on a short term deal.

The winger joins us after a successful trial period and adds further depth to Robbie Savage’s squad ahead of our FA Cup clash at the weekend.

Hayder has learnt his footballing trade in the Potteries having come through City’s Academy to represent their U18s in FA Youth Cup action eventually.

Ali is a full international, having been called up to the Iraq national side in 2023 and featured in a friendly against Jordan.

The dynamic winger by trade has great quality on the ball and possesses great dribbling stats which will provide great competition to our already strong wide options.

We would like to wish Ali a warm welcome to the Club and wish him well during his time at the Leasing.com Stadium
