AN UPDATE FROM SPORTING DIRECTOR JONATHAN BULL

Sporting Director Jonathan Bull wishes to provide a further unified update to that issued by the collective Board of Directors.

Over the three years that I have been involved with Macclesfield FC, I have seen first-hand the commitment, hard work and dedication shown by all of our Directors.

Running a Club at this level is not easy. It requires significant investment, countless hours of work behind the scenes and a shared determination to keep moving the Club forward. Every Shareholder and Director has played their part in ensuring the Club remains well-resourced and continues on an upward trajectory.

I would also like to recognise the additional support that both Ama and Dan in particular, have provided through their businesses. Not only have they invested in the Club as Shareholders, but they have also become major sponsors, further strengthening our budgets and helping to provide the resources needed for the Club to continue progressing both on and off the pitch. Without this significant, generous commitment, the Club would be in a very different position.

The last few days have understandably been difficult, and there have been misunderstandings during what has been an emotional period for a number of people. However, over the last 24 hours, the Shareholders and Board have come together, held constructive discussions and cleared up those misunderstandings.

I can only speak for myself, but what I can say with absolute confidence is that every shareholder wants the very best for Macclesfield FC. While there may occasionally be differences of opinion, which in hindsight, shouldn’t have been aired publicly, those differences only come from a shared passion for the Club and a desire to see it succeed.

I think it is important for supporters to know that there is absolutely no lack of passion, ambition or commitment from the current Board. Every Director and Shareholder has invested significant time, energy and resources into Macclesfield FC because they genuinely care about its future. They want to see this Club continue to grow, continue to progress and continue its journey upwards through the football pyramid. The ambition for the Club remains as strong as it has ever been.

Having worked closely with the Board across both the commercial and football sides of the Club, I can wholeheartedly say that the current board are doing a good job and, most importantly, their hearts are in the right place. We are all united by the same objective: to build a stable, sustainable Club that never faces the challenges that brought about the loss of the old Macclesfield Town and one that can continue to make its supporters proud.

Now is the time for us all to move forward together. From my perspective, I am extremely happy to continue working alongside every member of the Board as we focus on the future of Macclesfield Football Club.

The supporters, players, staff and sponsors deserve stability, unity and optimism, and I believe we now have that. The discussions over the last 24 hours have reinforced that everyone is pulling in the same direction and that the Club’s future remains bright.

Our focus now returns to what matters most — supporting John Rooney and his staff, backing the players, continuing the progress we have made both on and off the pitch, and doing everything possible to bring further success to Macclesfield FC.
