The Silkmen make the journey up to the North East for our Enterprise National League North clash with South Shields

About the Club – Founded – 1974, Nickname – The Mariners, Manager – Ian Watson, Ground – 1st Cloud Arena, Capacity – 4,000, 2024/25 POS – 17th NLN

Public Transport – It is a short walk to the stadium from the Bede Metro station. From Newcastle Central Station, replacement bus services will be in place of the usual Metro journey towards South Shields, stopping at Bede.

At Bede station, walk down the stairs and turn right if you have departed the train going towards South Shields, or turn left if you have departed the train in the direction of Newcastle. At the next junction, turn right; from here it is a short walk along Shaftesbury Avenue, where the ground is located.

By Car – Head North up the M6 from Macclesfield as far as Carlisle, turning east on to the A69 before joining the A1 Southbound carriageway along the outskirts of Newcastle Upon Tyne, leaving to join the A194 in a northernly direction before finally turning left on to Shaftesbury Avenue.

Alternatively, join the M60 from the A34, and join in either the clockwise or anticlockwise direction before following signposts for the M62 Eastbound carriageway, continuing as far as the M1 where a left turn is required to go northbound up the M1, becoming the A1, leaving to join the A194 at Springwell, eventually leaving at Shaftesbury Avenue on approach to the 1st Cloud Arena.

Parking – Car parking is available on Shaftesbury Avenue, as well as the overflow car park at the nearby Barbour store.

We would like to remind supporters to please park respectfully in and around the vicinity of the 1st Cloud Arena and take care when arriving and leaving the ground.

Arrangements – Ticket sales are ongoing and can be purchased

Food and Drink – Hot and cold refreshments will be available for visiting supporters inside the ground.
