Macclesfield FC are delighted to have retained the services of our longest-serving player, Brandon Lee!
The flying full-back joined us in our inaugural 2021/22 season from Longridge Town and has been a brilliant asset to the Club ever since, making 145 appearances for Macclesfield over the course of five seasons, winning three promotions in our first four seasons before narrowly missing out on promotion to the Enterprise National League in our most recent 2025/26 Enterprise National League North campaign.
Brandon began his career with Blackburn Rovers, before making the move across Lancashire to Bolton Wanderers, where he progressed through the ranks of the Whites’ academy before taking the plunge in to men’s football just down the road from BL6 at fellow Enterprise National League North side Chorley.
Having reached the natural conclusion of his time at Chorley, Brandon was recruited by Lee Ashcroft at Longridge Town in the summer of 2020, enjoying eighteen months with the North West Counties Premier Division side, impressing against the Silkmen in our initial encounter during with the Ridge in December of 2021, resulting in him making a move to the Leasing.com Stadium just seven days later.
Lee has continued to excel and grow as a player throughout his time with the Silkmen, adapting and improving with every advancement through the leagues, only finding himself forcibly sidelined due to injury in our Emirates FA Cup Second Round tie away at Slough Town just before the turn of the year.
Brandon has featured in each and every season and competition the Silkmen have played in to date, developing him in to well-rounded, agile and experienced full-back for a 26 year-old.
Having gained valuable game time at levels both higher and lower than where Macclesfield currently find themselves in the sixth tier of English football, though predominantly with the Silkmen, Brandon still has plenty to offer John Rooney’s side, naturally resulting in an agreement to a further extend his stay with the Club.
Lee continues to undergo his rehabilitation from his long-term injury and is aiming to make a return to action midway through the 2026/27 campaign.
