Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the addition of goalkeeper Paul Cooper following his summer departure from Buxton.
The 23-year-old has extensive Non-League experience and adds strong competition to Christian Dibble in the Silkmen goalkeeping department.
Cooper first came through the ranks at Stoke City as a youth, where he developed his trade in their U18s setup.
He secured a number of senior loan moves whilst in the Potters’ Academy, with Matlock Town and Longridge Town amongst his former sides.
Barnsley picked up the shot-stopper, where he would be involved in their U21s side, before again earning more experience on loan away from the Club.
Worksop Town and Ashton United were amongst those sides where Cooper had featured before he signed for Buxton after his release from Oakwell.
Cooper spent two seasons at Silverlands and was a regular feature for the Bucks.
Paul will wear the number 13 shirt for the Silkmen.
