Macclesfield FC can confirm today that Head of Player Development Danny Whitaker has taken the vacant manager’s position at Bradford (Park Avenue).

Danny was a synonymous figure in the rise of our football club and will carry memories forward that will last a lifetime to all concerned at the club.

Having played a major part with our BTEC programme and taking our U21 side, Danny’s influence and legacy on the club will last a lifetime.

Whits will always be a legend at the club, guiding us to promotion in 2021/22 and playing a major part at the start of last season in our promotion push.

Having informed Director of Football Robbie Savage of his decision this morning, Danny will take the manager role at Park Avenue with immediate effect.

Everyone concerned with Macclesfield Football Club would like to thank Danny for everything he has done for the club and will always be welcome back anytime.
