Macclesfield FC are delighted to welcome James Edmondson back to the Club on loan from Blackburn Rovers until the end of January.
Edmondson returns from the EFL Championship side on a short-term loan having impressed at the Leasing.com Stadium during his initial extended spell with Macclesfield last season, scoring three goals, one of which on his debut against Ashton United in the FA Trophy.
The 19-year-old has continued to impress back at his parent club since being recalled from the Silkmen, featuring regularly for Rovers’ U21’s, most recently Captaining the side that beat a youthful Preston North End 3-1 in the Lancashire FA Senior Cup just two days ago.
The central midfielder returns to Macc having agreed terms with Rovers on Thursday afternoon, and is in immediate contention to be a part of John Rooney’s squad for our Enterprise National League North fixture away at Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday afternoon.
