Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce the signing of midfielder Elliot Osborne following his departure from Altrincham.
The 29-year-old joins The Silkmen, having made just shy of 200 appearances for the Robins during four year spell.
After beginning his career in the academy of Port Vale, he featured for a number of local Non-League sides, including Newcastle Town and Nantwich Town.
He caught the eye of Fleetwood Town after a positive spell with the Dabbers, where he continued his development with loans at Stockport County, Tranmere Rovers, and Morecambe.
After a permanent move to Southport, he then earned a move to the EFL with Stevenage under the stewardship of Alex Revell.
He made his way back to the North West with his move to the J.Davidson Stadium in 2022, where he was part of the side that made it to the National League play-offs in 2023/24, losing to eventual winners Bromley.
Osborne also captained the National League side as they knocked out 10-man Silkmen in the Isuzu FA Trophy last season via a penalty shootout.
The combative, hard-working midfielder adds great experience to the Silkmen midfield ranks.
Please join us in giving Elliot a warm welcome to the Leasing.com Stadium, and we wish him every success during his time with the Silkmen.
Full interview with Elliot will be live on Silkmen TV later today.
