Macclesfield FC Women First Team Goalkeeper Emelie Borg agrees terms with Swedish Professional Football Club Malmo FF!!

In 2022, we first encountered Emelie Borg during the Macclesfield FC Summer Residency. Impressed by her talent and commitment, Emelie later chose to enrol in our university program in partnership with UCLan University, complemented by our full-time football initiative. The 2023/24 season kicked off with a memorable 10-day pre-season experience in Barcelona, where Emelie showcased her skills against Spanish teams and underwent specialised goalkeeper training.

Upon relocating to the UK for her university degree and active participation in our football programs, Emelie excelled, featuring prominently in both the U23 ladies and Women’s first team squads. Her dedication and promise didn’t go unnoticed, leading her back to Sweden, where she officially joined her childhood professional football team, Malmo FF, on January 26th, 2024. Everyone at Macclesfield FC extends their heartfelt wishes for Emelie’s continued success in her promising future.
