Conor O’Keefe bolsters the goalkeeping department

Macclesfield FC are pleased to agree terms with goalkeeper Conor O’Keefe, after impressing during pre-season, subject to international clearance.

Born in the town, O’Keefe re-joins the Silkmen after being a part of the academy during the John Askey era before moving to the continent.

The 27-year-old joins the club following spells with Swedish sides Vasalunds IF and Pitea IF making a number of appearances during his time in Scandinavia.

O’Keefe was also at Spanish club Fuenlabrada in their B Team set up when the club faced Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey Last 16 back in 2017.

The keeper has also had spells with Gibraltar sides Europa Point FC and Bruno’s Magpies as well as Loughborough University  before moving to play in Sweden.
