Macclesfield FC are delighted to announce that Goodwins Auto Salvage have renewed their partnership with the Club ahead of the 2026/27 season, marking an incredible milestone of ten consecutive years of support for The Silkmen.

Having first partnered with the former Macclesfield Town, Goodwins Auto Salvage have remained loyal supporters throughout the Club’s journey, standing alongside the team through every challenge and success. Their unwavering commitment over the last decade makes them one of the Club’s longest-standing commercial partners.

Founded in 2012 by local businessman and lifelong Silkmen supporter Richard Goodwin, Goodwins Auto Salvage has grown from a local vehicle purchasing specialist into one of the UK’s most trusted names in vehicle salvage, fleet disposal and online vehicle auctions.

Operating from a number of sites across the UK, including two large vehicle storage facilities in Macclesfield and a head office based in the town, the company has built a nationwide network serving private individuals, businesses, insurance companies and motor trade professionals, while remaining proudly rooted in the local community.

Goodwins Auto Salvage specialises in purchasing vehicles of all makes and models, regardless of condition. From accident-damaged vehicles and insurance write-offs to non-runners, fleet vehicles and nearly-new salvage stock, the company provides a fast, fair and transparent service designed to make vehicle disposal simple and stress-free.

Alongside its vehicle purchasing operation, Goodwins Auto Salvage runs regular online vehicle auctions, offering trade and public buyers access to a diverse range of repairable salvage, insurance loss vehicles, commercial vehicles and nearly-new stock. Through detailed vehicle listings, professional customer support and nationwide collection and delivery services, the company has established itself as a trusted name within the automotive industry.

Their straightforward and transparent auction platform has attracted buyers from across the UK, including vehicle repair specialists, motor traders, exporters, automotive enthusiasts and several well-known automotive YouTubers who regularly source vehicles through Goodwins Auto Salvage auctions. By combining industry expertise with exceptional customer service, Goodwins Auto Salvage continues to expand its reach while maintaining the personal approach that has been central to its success.

As part of the renewed partnership, Goodwins Auto Salvage will continue to enjoy prominent branding around the Leasing.com Stadium and retain their hospitality presence within the Westwood VIP Lounge.

Richard Goodwin, Owner of Goodwins Auto Salvage, said:

“Being a Macc lad, supporting the Football Club in any way that I can means an awful lot to me.
There have been many highs and lows over the years, but there can be no doubt that it is certainly an exciting time to be a Silkmen fan at present.
Reaching ten consecutive years of sponsorship is something that I am incredibly proud of. Both the Club and Goodwins Auto Salvage have grown significantly over that period, and I am delighted that we can continue our journey together.
I just want the new season to start now and wish everyone at the Club every success throughout the forthcoming campaign.”

Deputy CEO Bob Trafford added:

“From the Moss Rose to the Leasing.com Stadium, Goodwins Auto Salvage have been with us every step of the way over the last decade.
Richard and his team are passionate supporters of this Football Club and fantastic ambassadors for local business within our community.
Their loyalty, particularly during some of the more challenging periods, has been greatly appreciated and never taken for granted.
The Westwood VIP Lounge would not seem right without Richard and his team in it, and I look forward to working with them once again throughout the new season.”

Despite its growth into a nationwide operation, Goodwins Auto Salvage remains proudly based in Macclesfield. Its continued support of Macclesfield FC reflects the same values that have driven the business since 2012 – loyalty, community spirit and a commitment to building long-term relationships. This latest sponsorship renewal marks a decade of backing The Silkmen and further strengthens the bond between two proud Macclesfield institutions.

Everyone at Macclesfield FC would like to thank Richard Goodwin and the entire Goodwins Auto Salvage team for their continued support and look forward to celebrating this landmark tenth season together.
