Macclesfield FC are delighted to welcome the services of defender Ed Ikpakwu.
The 25-year-old joins after a spell training with the club. He is able to operate as a centre-back and also in midfield, adding great depth to our defensive and midfield options.
Ikpakwu has featured in the U18 setup for Stoke City, Manchester City and Leicester City, and it was his spell with the Foxes where his development continued.
After his departure from the King Power Stadium, he signed for Lancaster City in the Northern Premier League, for whom he had three spells, most recently in the 2024/25 season, where he came off the bench against the Silkmen in February 2025.
Ed has also featured for Hyde United and Colne between his spells with the Dolly Blues, adding to his First-Team experience.
He joined AFC Telford United in the Enterprise National League North in December 2025, and was a regular feature in their squad.
