With the 2026/27 season looming, we prepare for another crack at the Isuzu FA Trophy, the dates of which have now been confirmed for the upcoming campaign.
The competition will begin at the Preliminary Round stage on Saturday 15th August for teams joining at the initial point of entry.
This is quickly followed by the First, Second and Third qualifying rounds of the tournament on Saturday 29th August, Saturday 12th September and Saturday 26th September.
The First Round Proper is just shy of a month later on Saturday 24th October, ahead of the Second Round Proper, at which stage the Silkmen will enter as per the rest of the Enterprise National League North on Saturday 14th November.
What will hopefully be another date of interest for Macc fans is Saturday 12th December, when the Third Round will take place, closing out the Trophy action for the calendar year.
The competition resumes on Saturday 16th January with the Fourth Round, quickly followed by the Fifth on Saturday 6th February.
The Quarter Final follows a month later on Saturday 6th March, and the Semi Final a month on from that on Saturday 3rd April.
The big day that is the final, for us to hopefully earmark too is Sunday 16th May 2027 at the home of football, Wembley Stadium.
We’re incredibly excited to be back involved in this prestigious tournament, from which Macclesfield Town hold a rich history, and we hope to replicate that this year!
