JUNIOR ACADEMY FOCUS – UNDER 14 SELECTS

Our next Junior Academy focus comes in the form of our Under 14 Selects side who were victorious at the weekend.

The message before the game was to start on the front foot and play how they know they are capable of.

The lads did what they were asked from the off, moving the ball quickly and looking to work into the channels.

This positive start helped the team take a lead into halftime after creating several chances in front of goal.

In the second half, the Young Silkmen were winning their mid-block or from goal kicks.

Disappointingly, they switched off allowing the opposition back into the game on the counter attack.

A direct free kick helped settle the game for Macc with a great strike from the dead ball position.
