Our next Junior Academy focus comes in the form of our Under 15 Select side who won their game at the weekend.

The main focus of the game was focusing on defensive transitions and working as a unit.

It was a quick start to the game with link-up play in the midfield being sharp and creating chances in behind the backline.

Macc took the lead with a really well-taken goal which ensued confidence in shooting areas.

Despite being pegged back before the break, control of the game was in Macc’s hands going into the second period.

The Young Silks weren’t discouraged after conceding and created numerous chances in front of goal.

Game management was therefore critical in the remaining stages of the game with no need to take unnecessary risks.

The side remained resolute and saw out for a important victory.
