Macclesfield FC can confirm that Luke Griffiths has departed the Club following the expiry of his short-term deal, and has since signed for fellow Enterprise National League North side Southport FC.

The midfielder made three appearances for the Silkmen in his short stint with the Club since the joining from Curzon Ashton at the end of August.

Griffiths departs in search of more regular game time with the Sandgrounders under former Macc player and Manager duo Neil Danns and Mark Duffy.

Macclesfield FC would like to place on record it’s thanks to Luke for his contributions and efforts during his spell at the Leasing.com Stadium and would like to wish him well for the future and his move to Southport.
