The Silkmen travel to Newcastle Town this evening in our second pre-season encounter.

John Rooney will be looking to build on plenty of positives following Saturday’s narrow defeat to Sky Bet League One side Mansfield Town.

Neil Baker’s Newcastle will provide a different kind of test for the Silkmen as the season opener fast approaches.

With four games in seven days, it will be a good opportunity to rotate the side and assess various options.
