NORTHERN PREMIER LEAGUE AWARDS ROUNDUP

It was a successful evening in Blackpool for the Silkmen at the Northern Premier League awards.

The Silkmen were well backed by Players, Staff, and Directors at the Winter Gardens, where we celebrated the achievements of our record-breaking season.

One standout award from the night was Danny Elliott picking up the Northern Premier League Golden Boot with 35 league goals to his name. It was a stellar season for our striker as he also Premier Division Player of the Year.

Danny was unable to attend on the night, so Captain Paul Dawson dually obliged and accepted the awards on Danny’s behalf.

In the lead up to the event, the Silkmen had won several other accolades, including six players being named in the Premier Division Team of the Season.

Max Dearnley, Neil Kengni, Laurent Mendy, Paul Dawson, Luke Duffy, and Danny Elliott were all deservedly named in the Team of the Season voted by managers in the league.

There were also three players named in the Media voted Team of the Season with Mendy, Elliott and John Rooney securing a place in the team.

The awards weren’t finished there as Sean Etaluku was named Young Player of the Year for the Premier Division and Danny Elliott also winning Supporters Player of the Year.

As a new journey begins in the National League North, one comes to a close and we would like to thank everyone at the Northern Premier League for accommodating us over the last three seasons.
