PRE-SEASON FIXTURE NEWS: MACCLESFIELD FC VS FC UNITED OF MANCHESTER

The Silkmen will conclude their pre-season campaign against FC United of Manchester at the Leasing.com Stadium on Saturday 1st August at 3pm.

Our final pre-season fixture will take place what we anticipate to be a week before the beginning of the 2026/27 Enterprise National League North season on home turf, in what will likely be the last opportunity to tweak and fine tune preparations ahead of the first game of the season, still to be confirmed.

As per our first pre-season opponents, Hyde United, FC United are set for another season in the Northern Premier League having missed out on the chance to be promoted to the same level as the Silkmen, losing narrowly to Warrington Rylands in their play-off semi final at Broadhurst Park.

A second test against a side challenging for promotion to the Enterprise National League North will no doubt stand John Rooney’s men in good stead ahead of the big kick off.

The two teams have met previously on many an occasion in competitive action, most recently in the second half of the 2024/25 Northern Premier League season, from which Macc came out on top with a 2-0 victory at the Leasing.com Stadium and albeit with the focus less on the final scoreline, will no doubt be hoping to round off pre-season positively in our final informal outing.

Ticket details are still to be confirmed and will be published at a later date. Supporters are welcome to attend the game and will be provided with further information at the earliest opportunity.

Further pre-season fixtures sandwiched between the two already confirmed games will be announced in due course.
