The Silkmen begin their pre-season campaign at 3pm on Saturday 4th July, when they will face Hyde United at the Leasing.com Stadium.

John Rooney’s men return to action following the culmination of the 2025/26 Enterprise National League campaign, in preparation for a second season in the same division having missed out on promotion following defeat to Kidderminster Harriers in the play-off semi-final.

Hyde United are the first visitors to the Leasing.com Stadium of pre-season, led by former Silkmen manager Michael Clegg, the Northern Premier League side finished last season in 15th place and like Macclesfield, therefore prepare for another crack at progressing in the same league.

The fixture will allow an opportunity for a mix of retained players and trialists to feature in a gradual return to fitness and opportunity to impress and stake an early claim for a place in their sides, from the beginning of their pre-season campaigns.

Paul Dawson, Lewis Fensome, Luke Matheson, Luke Duffy, Sam Heathcote, Carlos Dos Santos, Elliot Osborne and Theo Chapman are all expected to feature in a limited capacity as the players currently under contract at the Club, providing their first taste of match fitness following what will be a thorough return to training, with and without the ball.

It is anticipated that Dontai Gabidon will also make another appearance at the Leasing.com Stadium having signed for The Tigers following the expiry of his Silkmen contract.

Ticket details are still to be confirmed and will be published at a later date, closer to the pre-season opener. Supporters will be welcomed for the game and will be provided with further information at the earliest opportunity.

Further pre-season fixtures will be announced in due course.
