Tonight we start our Isuzu FA Trophy journey as we make the journey to Widnes to take on City of Liverpool. 

The Silkmen will be hoping to repeat the impressive feat of last season in reaching the Semi-Finals before narrowly missing out at the hands of Gateshead.

The Purps had an impressive campaign in the competition last season as well with National League Hartlepool United being the eventual team to knock Paul McNally’s side out of the competition.

Robbie Savage is expected to make changes this evening but is likely to name a strong lineup. Brandon Lee and Elliott Whitehouse are the only expected absentees through injury.
