Macclesfield FC earned their ninth consecutive victory after a 3-0 win away to Guiseley.
In just seven minutes, the Silkmen had a perfect start as Neil Kengni ran in behind the defence before dribbling the ball around the keeper to claim an early lead.
10 minutes later, Ollie Brown came close to equalising as he was in a good position on the edge of the box, only to fire his shot over the bar.
In the 35th minute, the away side’s lead doubled as Kengni made a fantastic run into the box before poking the ball under Joe Cracknell, giving himself a brace in the match.
The second half was all about Macclesfield remaining ahead, as well as keeping a clean sheet.
Lewis Whitham came close to putting Guiseley back into the game as his curling effort was just off target at the far post.
In the 58th minute, John Rooney came close to extending the lead for the Northern Premier League Champions as his close attempt was denied by the keeper.
The Lions were desperate to get a goal back as Gabriel Johnson found himself in a good position to score a header, but it wasn’t powerful enough to test Dearnley.
Six minutes later, Johnson came close to putting himself on the scoresheet again when his firing effort barely missed the target.
It was all joy in the end for Robbie Savage’s side as Diego De Girolamo got his first goal for the Silkmen in stoppage time after an unbeatable header from Paul Dawson’s assist.
The Northern Premier League Champions have reached 100 points in the table with three games remaining.
Macclesfield will return to the Leasing.com Stadium on Saturday where they take on Ilkeston Town.
