Macclesfield FC are deeply saddened to learn that former Silkmen striker Paul Cavell has passed away at the age of 63.
Joining Sammy McIlroy’s Macclesfield Town side in the summer of 1995, Paul was renowned as one of the most exciting forwards outside the Football League.
As well as representing England at semi-professional level, Paul also collected an FA Trophy winners medal during his time at the Moss Rose.
Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends at this incredibly sad time.
