ROONEY IN RUNNING FOR MANAGER OF THE MONTH

Silkmen Gaffer John Rooney has been nominated for the Enterprise National League North Manager of the Month award for October!

Rooney has lead his side to securing an impressive nine points from an available twelve in the past month, each of those consecutive wins against Curzon Ashton, Leamington and South Shields came in the space of seven days, seeing the Silkmen rise from 15th to 10th in the Enterprise National League North standings.

The other candidates for this month’s award are as follows:

Anthony Johnson/Bernard Morley – Radcliffe

John McGrath – Buxton

Lee Bircham – Bedford Town

The winner will be selected by an independent panel and will be announced by Monday 3rd November.

We wish Roons good luck and hope to see him pick up his first piece of silverware of the season, just two months in to his managerial career.
