We are delighted to announce that manager John Rooney and forward Isaac Buckley-Ricketts have been nominated for the Enterprise National League North Manager and Player of the Month awards for January, respectively.

Manager John Rooney has kick-started the New Year in fine fettle, winning four out of five league games in January. Coupled with a history-making victory over Emirates FA Cup holders, Crystal Palace has seen the start to 2026 be a successful one for the Silkmen gaffer.

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts has also had a fabulous start to the year in all competitions. Three goals and two assists have seen the Silkmen’s Number Seven begin to thrive at the Leasing.com Stadium. Buckley-Ricketts scored three in three at the start of the month, including the winner against Crystal Palace, as well as assisting on two occasions.

Here are the shortlists for who our two representatives are up against:

MANAGER:

John Rooney – Macclesfield

Kevin Wilkin – AFC Telford United

Phil Brown – Peterborough Sports

Neil Danns – Southport

PLAYER:

Shaq Coulthirst – Peterborough Sports

Isaac Buckley-Ricketts – Macclesfield

David Davis – Kidderminster Harriers

Remi Walker – AFC Telford United

We wish both Roons and Isaac the very best of luck in the voting process.
