The Silkmen attained the bragging rights with victory in our pre-season friendly against Altrincham on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Luke Duffy, Elliot Osborne, George Wilson, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Adan George would be enough to retain our unbeaten run in pre-season with two tests remaining, away at Tamworth on Tuesday before the finale against FC United of Manchester on Saturday at the Leasing.com Stadium ahead of the season opener away at Marine AFC on Saturday 8th August.
Prior to all of which, it was an enjoyable day for all associated with Macclesfield FC behind enemy lines at the J.Davidson Stadium, which despite the uncompetitive nature of the fixture, still felt like an important win on derby day!
