As we continue our look at the new sides for the 2026/27 National League North campaign, our journey takes us from the North East to the North West.
Morecambe were regular opponents for Macclesfield Town in the late 2000’s and into the 2010’s, but both have had very difficult years in their Club’s history.
The Shrimps will be looking for an immediate return to the National League after successive relegations from the EFL and the National League, seeing them sit in the National League North for the first time in over 30 years.
Under new management in Adam Lakeland, who joined from FC Halifax Town, Morecambe will be hoping to slowly make their way back towards the Football League.
It was a difficult season last time out for Morecambe, with a lot of changes going on behind the scenes, as well as changes on the field, with Ashvir Singh Johal being replaced by former manager Jim Bentley, who couldn’t keep them up.
A trip to the Mazuma Stadium awaits the Silkmen in the Enterprise National League North.
