The Silkmen return to the Leasing.com Stadium on Saturday afternoon for a highly anticipated top of the table clash against Hereford in the Enterprise National League North – and you can play your part from the stands!
John Rooney’s men, currently top of the league and unbeaten at home, welcome a Hereford side who are a point and a place behind them in the table to East Cheshire as first takes on second, kick-off 3pm.

Following Tuesday’s 3-0 victory away at Anstey Nomads which saw the Silkmen progress into the Emirates FA Cup first-round proper, attention now turns to a meeting with Aaron Downes’ Bulls, who make the journey from Herefordshire. Macc have also won back-to-back league games at the Leasing.com Stadium, moving up to top spot ahead of this weekend’s fixture.

Your support throughout the season so far has been outstanding both home and away, cheering on the players from kick-off to full-time. The backing from the terraces was a driving force behind recent comebacks from two goals down including the thrilling 4-3 victory over South Shields and the 2-2 draw against Scarborough Athletic in the Emirates FA Cup.

Manager Rooney is looking forward to getting back to the Leasing.com Stadium and he knows how important the Silkmen fans will be against Hereford.

Rooney said: “Our focus now is on Hereford. We need to rest, recover and put ourselves in the best possible place to go and get a result at home on Saturday.
