The Silkmen were back hard at work in training on Thursday morning following Tuesday’s draw at Warrington Town and in preparation for Saturday’s trip to Altrincham.
The lads reported for training first thing on Thursday, keen to recover from a physical test on Tuesday evening away from home, beginning with a pre-activation session in Stealth Gym prior to getting out on the turf at the Leasing.com Stadium.
Strength & Conditioning Coach Nick Smith put the lads through their paces initially, with a dynamic warm-up ahead of getting back on the ball to further their preparations for our remaining pre-season fixtures against Altrincham, Tamworth and FC United of Manchester, with a trip to Marine on the opening day of the season firmly in the minds of Management team John Rooney, Francis Jeffers and Ant Curran.
After another productive morning, the squad took part in a structured cool down before departing for the day. The Silkmen have one more lighter session on Friday morning to finalise plans for Saturday’s enticing pre-season clash against local rivals Altrincham.
We look forward to seeing the Silkmen in action at the J.Davidson Stadium on Saturday afternoon and hope it proves to be a worthwhile exercise, securing a positive result in the process.
