Macclesfield FC can confirm that Youth Academy stars Sam Elliott, Tyler Mistry and Kerr Dollochin have all joined Winsford United on dual registration terms.
These moves have once again come about as a result of each player impressing for both the Silkmen’s U23 and U18 sides.
Sam, Tyler and Kerr follow in the footsteps of Harry Motley, Fin Foote, Aaron Grewal and David Kosatik, who have all been recruited by sides at a similar level to provide them each with an opportunity to progress their careers further and gain a valuable taste of men’s football, ultimately required to be considered for the first team on their return to the Leasing.com Stadium.
Macclesfield FC’s Technical Lead Ross Speight, the orchestrator of the business, proudly spoke of the chance his boys have been given to thrive at a senior level.
“I’m delighted that Sam, Kerr and Tyler have deservedly been given their chance to shine alongside the other boys who’ve recently grabbed their opportunities with both hands. The whole group have been a real credit to the Club and themselves and will no doubt excel when called upon. These boys in particular.
My thanks goes to Winsford, who have enabled the lads to show what they can do in their side. I know their gaffer well and he knows how highly I rate these boys. I’m grateful that he’s trusted my judgement on this and is willing to give the three boys a real chance to kickstart their senior careers.
Whilst I love having them around and coaching them day to day, these moves also allow them to mature massively in unfamiliar environments, without their home comforts, and although a few of them have gone in groups, its a chance for them to build new relationships and chemistry with other managers and players, who they wouldn’t otherwise have necessarily met and got to know.
I hope that they’ll make full use of these opportunities and come back with a different outlook and desire to succeed. I’ll be keeping a close eye on their progress and wish the lads all the very best of luck.”
Good luck, boys!
