Macclesfield FC have two exciting opportunities for the appropriate candidates to join our First Team backroom staff on a trial basis.

The Silkmen are on the lookout for an intern analyst and intern masseuse to assist the first team at training sessions and on match days.

Both roles are part-time voluntary internships, ideal for those looking to take on additional workload to an existing position in a similar field, or with history of working in the industry in a similar vein.

Those taken on for each role will join the team on a trial basis, predominantly until the end of the 2025/26 Enterprise National League North season and the beginning of our 2026/27 pre-season campaign, with a view to extending in to the following season.

Outlined below are the key responsibilities and requirements associated with each role

 

Analyst key responsibilities

Film and analyse match and training footage

Composition of pre-match opposition reports

Creation of post-match analysis reports

Support coaching staff with individual player development

Close liaison with coaching staff and media team

Organisation and secure storage of analysis equipment and data

 

Masseuse key responsibilities

Provide massages to players before and after training as required

Provide massages to players before and after matches as required

Assist with injury prevention and muscle recovery routine

Work alongside physio and coaching teams to monitor player physical condition

Maintain and organise medical/treatment equipment

 

Key requirements for both openings:

Flexible working hours. Local, national and international travel where necessary

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Remain current with our policies and procedures

Ability to work individually and as part of a team

Have a polite and courteous manner

Be organised and have time management skills

Be reliable and punctual

Ability to meet stringent deadlines

Have a personable approach

Knowledge and understanding of company policies/procedures and regulations relating to your role

Ability to liaise with footballers, coaches, management and other football related individuals in a professional manner

Hold a current DBS certificate

Prepared to work evenings and weekends
