Macclesfield FC are recruiting for an exciting position within our Media and Marketing department.

Position: Media & Marketing Executive

Reporting to: Deputy Chief Executive

Term: Full Time

Overall Objective:

To inspire, engage and inform an eclectic range of audiences, across different platforms and in line with the Club’s Media and Marketing objectives.

Main Objectives

· Grow our digital audience and fan engagement across all Club channels.

· Boost our marketing presence through creative marketing and imaginative campaigns.

· Build strong bonds with local media, partners, fans, and the local community.

· Assist in the creation of high-level copywriting, artwork and videography in order to inspire, engage and inform an eclectic range of audiences across different platforms.

 

Summary of Duties

· Devise innovative Media and Marketing campaigns in line with the Club’s overall objectives.

· Constantly drive all campaigns through various mediums and have the ability to both quantitively and qualitatively assess their success.

· Create Fan Engagement features that exemplify their standing within the Club.

· Use the English Language to elicit a range of emotions within different audiences, and have the ability to position these in order to generate maximum impact.

· Produce forward-thinking content calendars and be responsible for the execution of these.

· Manage Club mail shots in line with operational demands through tools such as MailChimp.

· Create inspiring graphics and work alongside the Design Team to edit images.

· Work alongside the Videography Team in order to produce content for a multitude of different purposes.

· Assist the team in terms of proofreading all content.

· Attend and contribute to all relevant training sessions.

· Attend all relevant staff meetings.

· Keep up to date with all MFC correspondence.

· Participate in regular departmental and cross departmental progress meetings.

· Train and share knowledge with internal teams wherever possible, to empower them to manage their own areas.

· Remain current with our policies and procedures.

 

Essential

· Qualified to degree level standard in an Arts or Humanities based subject.

· Ability to work flexible hours as required, with local, national and international travel where necessary.

· Possess excellent written and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

· Be highly organised and have meticulous time management skills.

· Able to meet stringent deadlines at short notice.

· Be able to seamlessly adapt to changing situations.

· Have the drive and enthusiasm to set high standards in order to achieve company objectives.

· Ability to liaise a wealth of different people in a professional manner.

· Hold a current DBS certificate.

 

Desirable

· Previous experience of working within the football or related industry.

· Full, clean driving licence

· Understanding of Google Ad words and Google Analytics

· Have experience of using Photoshop, Lightroom, Final Cut or Premier Pro.

· Be proficient in the use of MailChimp

· Be someone who has a keen interest in football, ideally Macclesfield FC.
