Macclesfield FC Women’s First Team are delighted to announce the appointment of Jenna Lea and Nick Simpson as joint Manager’s for the upcoming 2026/27 season!

Jenna and Nick are the first major pieces of the puzzle in an overhaul of our Women’s First Team, who are poised perfectly to take on the responsibility of joint Manager’s.

Jenna previously featured prominently in our Women’s First Team hierarchy as former joint Manager to Dane Jones, who departed the Club at the end of last season.

Taking over Dane’s previous role will be Nick Simpson, a senior figure in the existing coaching set up at the Leasing.com Stadium, whose existing focus is on recruitment for the Youth Academy and Men’s First Team. Nick now feels ready and well-placed to also take on a management role within our Women’s set up.

Following a disappointing 2025/26 campaign for the Women’s First Team, the Club is determined to make amends in the upcoming 2026/27 season, providing a more hands-on approach to the Women’s team, to ensure further time and resource is dedicated to making the side a competitive force over the next 12 months.

Both Manager’s visualise their roles as a long-term project and are dedicated to bringing a bright future to an equally valuable asset of the business and ensure young women have an opportunity to play high-quality football here at Macclesfield FC.

With a re-build largely required, both Manager’s are keen to source players for next season via trials sessions, which are to be held at the Leasing.com Stadium on Tuesday 26th May and Tuesday 2nd June to allow for a competitive squad to be built under the new regime.

Any players currently signed up with Clubs locally or without a team are encouraged to register their interest in attending the trials days to be in with a chance of becoming one of the players to take Macclesfield FC Women’s First Team to the next level.
