MATCH PREVIEW: SOUTHPORT (A)

19 Aug 2025

Share:

John Rooney takes his Silkmen side to Haig Avenue this evening, as we look to claim our first Enterprise National League North away victory.

There can be no doubt that Saturday afternoon’s slender 2 – 1 reversal at Oxford City hurt us all – from the players to the staff and our wonderfully loyal fans.

This is something which we need to react to defiantly and as such, we need everyone behind the lads tonight as we seek to respond in the best possible fashion.

So let’s all show our pride, our passion and our belief in what we are trying to achieve as we contest our first midweek league game in front of the DAZN cameras.
